Purpose

Educate the population, including our young people, as to best practices.

Partner with other local organizations on mutually beneficial projects.

Develop a volunteer base to assist with our work.
Projects

Rain Garden installation at the Normanoch clubhouse, with support from the Wallkill River Management Group, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, the Boy Scouts, and many local suppliers.

Hosted Rain Garden seminars provided by Rutgers Cooperative Extension for residents.

Storm Drain management in cooperation with Frankford Township to help reduce phosphorus inflow into our waters. Phosphorus stimulates harmful algae blooms (HABs).

Installed Alum Injection stations to also help mitigate phosphorus inflow.

Working to purchase the former Culver Lake Golf Course. Once owned, after remediation efforts and reforestation projects, the preserve will provide public access for exercise and enjoying nature.

Annual Clean-Up at the Lakes in association with Frankford Township.

Hosted webinars presented by Wallkill River Management Group.

Working with Frankford Township to update driveway and tree ordinances.

Update the public on local environmental issues.
