Activities

Use and enjoyment of Culver Lake and our clubhouse on the East Shore are privileges reserved for members of the Normanoch Association, their families and guests.

Swimming, boating, fishing, waterskiing, ice skating and snowmobiling are major lake sports.  The clubhouse is a place to meet friends, relax and enjoy the lake, or participate in the wide variety of activities and social events sponsored by the clubs highlighted on accompanying pages.

The Normanoch Association operates a canteen in the summer serving light lunches and snacks. Games are also available. Certified lifeguards supervise swimming at our clubhouse beach during specified hours.  Swimming lessons are taught at our beach by certified instructors.  Members may launch their boats at the ramp adjoining the clubhouse property.

Patrolmen keep an eye on the lake watching out for members' safety as well as maintaining the privacy of our lake and seeing that the Association's rules are understood and followed.

The Normanoch News, a weekly newspaper, is distributed to members each Friday during our "summer season", from late June through Labor Day.  Our paper contains news of our clubs and coming activities.  Members are encouraged to contribute to the editor news of family happenings and general interest.  They may also place advertisements of interest to our lake community for a small fee.

The rules of our association concerning membership, the many activities on Culver Lake and at our clubhouse, water quality, and the right-of-ways, etc, are published in a booklet of Rules and Regulations commonly referred to as the "Blue Book".  They are also available on this site under "Rules & Regulations". Updates are printed and distributed to all members from time to time.

As our lake population and activities here expand and more people live at Culver Lake all year, the Board of Directors, club officers and committees, other member ad hoc committees and task forces work during most of the year.  A clubhouse meeting room is available throughout all seasons for members of such organizations of the Normanoch Association as pre-approved by the Association.  In the warmer months, other unheated sections of our clubhouse are available for rental by our members for personal social functions such as wedding receptions and anniversary celebrations.   Scheduling well in advance is necessary.
